Now inviting pilot labs

The LIMS that reads the request and saves only what you confirm.

LabTessa takes your lab from a client's email to a signed test report. AI drafts each request and shows the exact words every field came from. Your team checks it, tests it, approves it and issues the report.

Paste a request. Watch it become a draft.

This demo runs entirely in your browser with a small example catalogue. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. In LabTessa, AI does this step, against your own catalogue and scope.

New request · draft
What the AI would see contacts masked

Draft · not saved

Check each field, then confirm.
How it works

From inbox to issued report in four steps

Every step is recorded, and nothing is overwritten. A correction always leaves the original in place, with a reason.

Receive

Paste an email, upload a PDF or enter a request by hand. Each sample gets its own ID at registration.

Draft & check

AI proposes client, matrix, samples and tests, each with its source quote. Tests outside your catalogue or scope are flagged.

Test & approve

Analysts enter results, which are compared with your limits as they are entered. A second person approves each result.

Report

Issue a PDF test report with a verification hash. Need a correction? Issue a revised report that names the one it replaces.

Features

Everything a testing lab needs, nothing it doesn't

Small and mid-sized labs get the core workflow done properly, without a long implementation project.

AI request intake

Reads emails and PDFs and drafts the request. Each field shows the exact text it came from. Nothing is saved until your staff confirm it.

Your catalogue, your scope

Tests come only from your own catalogue, matched by matrix. Anything outside your accreditation scope is flagged, never added silently.

Four-eyes approval

The person who approves a result must be different from the one who entered it. The database enforces this, not just the screen.

Limits & conformity

Enter limits per test and matrix, with their source. Results show conforms, does not conform or no limit, with the limit printed alongside.

Honest test reports

PDF reports show the accreditation mark only for tests within scope on that matrix. Others are clearly marked as not covered.

Tamper-evident audit trail

Every change goes into a hash-chained audit trail. Results and reports are write-once, and daily checks confirm the chain is intact.

CSV export

Export results to CSV for your own analysis or for upload elsewhere. Your data is never locked in.

Two-step sign-in

Admins sign in with an authenticator app, with recovery codes. Repeated wrong passwords lock the account for a while.

Lab-level isolation

Each lab's data is separated in the database itself, with row-level security, so one lab can never see another's records.

Industries

Built for the labs that test what we eat, grow, drink and build

Clients write requests in their own words. LabTessa turns those words into the right tests from your catalogue.

Data & security

AI that assists. People who decide.

AI only drafts requests. It never enters results, approves anything or issues a report.

  • Every field has evidenceEach drafted field is checked against the source document. A field whose quote can't be found there is flagged, so made-up values don't slip into your records.
  • Less personal data sentEmail addresses and phone numbers are masked before any text goes to the AI provider. Only the email subject and body are sent, not the headers.
  • Off unless you turn it onAI intake is switched on per lab, by a lab admin who has read what it does. Manual entry always works.
  • Not used for trainingOur AI provider's commercial terms do not allow your documents to be used to train models.
  • Prepared for India's DPDP ActThe lab stays in control of its clients' data. We act as its processor under a written agreement.

FAQ

Questions labs ask us

Does the AI decide anything on its own?

No. It drafts a request from a client's email or document. A person in your lab reviews every field and confirms it before anything is saved. Results, approvals and reports are always done by your staff.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

Each drafted field must quote the exact words it came from, and tests must come from your own catalogue. If there's no matching quote, or a test isn't one you offer, the draft says so. You correct it before confirming, the same as checking a colleague's entry.

Can we use LabTessa without AI?

Yes. AI intake is off until a lab admin switches it on, and manual entry always works.

Will it fit our accreditation?

LabTessa is built around ISO/IEC 17025 practice: a scope per test and matrix, second-person approval, write-once results, revised reports instead of edits, and a full audit trail. Your accreditation body assesses your lab, not the software, but these features are designed to make that assessment straightforward.

How much does it cost?

LabTessa is priced for small and mid-sized labs. Pilot labs get special terms, and we will share pricing when we talk.

What does a pilot involve?

We set up your catalogue, scope and users, then you use LabTessa alongside your current process for a few weeks. We meet regularly and fix what gets in your way. There's a short written agreement covering your data and what happens to it when the pilot ends.
